Nearside indicators off on Fabia 05.  Dash light flashing double speed.  All bulbs work when swapped with other side.  

Also it comes and goes.  

Dodgy connection somewhere? 

The wire coming off pin 16 (correction from 10 previously, please ignore the ringed 10 on the image below) on connector XS6 of Onboard supply control unit splits off to all three nearside indicators, so either a bad connection here or the chip that supplies it on the circuit board inside it is dying.

Well you could take the lower dash trim panel out yourself and inspect the connection. You're probably better off doing that part anyway, an autospark may not know how.

Getting the attached error code now about exhaust recirculation.   Is this the same control board as the indicator or is it just the sensor?  

Nothing to do with the control unit that supplies the indicators.

 

Not sure what it means on your car to be honest. In my hazy head this morning the EGR valve on a 1.9 diesel Fabia is vacuum driven, not electric.  Might refer to one of the vacuum control solenoids I guess, but that is a complete guess. Or a spurious code. Know anyone with VCDS?

So if I have to replace the On-board Supply Control Unit,  is there anyone near Tyne and Wear who can reprogram it to pair with the car? 

Doesn't need pairing, as such, just the relevant options coding in to match what the current one has. 

The stuff in this list, your options may not coincide with the marked up ones.

Be sure to match the whole part number of the unit including suffix letter.

 

Well this seems odd. 

I have had the EGR replaced and it has given me back partial use of right indicators,  two flashes only. Hazards now fully working.  

When getting those two flashes, I also get front fog dash light flashes ...

Fixed. 

240 quid to a spark.  Short between indicator and fog light wires.
