Hey everyone,

 

I’ve got a 68 Plate MK3 Fabia SE with some head unit issues. Using Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto after a few seconds or a few minutes (it’s random at this point) where audio becomes garbled (display is fine however) which makes it useless at times and have been getting by with Bluetooth.

 

I’ve tried various known working USB cables, making sure the connection is snug (port doesn’t seem to be loose at all the USB Port) and it still randomly decides to give me garbled audio.

My question is: What’s the latest firmware available for the head unit in this car (it’s just the standard head unit in the SE, no media related optional extras)

Try holding down the Menu/Setup button for 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu and find it.

 

Look for Software Train value.

Yes it's the classic MEN2 firmware with the noisy static.
