Check your PC under this folder (assuming you have scanned the car in the past?)

C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans

Files in this folder are automatically created,
because we got tired of hearing,
"Yes, I did an Auto-Scan, but I didn't save it."

Welcome.

If it is a 2012 car it is a Mk2 Fabia.

No didnt scan it with vcds i wish i did i used the autel and yeah ive accidently put it down as a mk3 its a mk2

None of my scans since 2021 have found there way to the folder even though I have clicked on the icon "save results", the folder is a seperate icon on my desktop which I think Mike the Thinker may have done for me or perhaps it was automatic.

In any case I cannot save scans or if I can then I cannot find them, I'm nul when it comes to computers, can anyone advise?

It is a legal version of VCDS bought from Gendan and has the latest software revision, my gut feeling is that the function was lost during a software upgrade to a "new and enhanced user experience"

Having relied forever on deliberately saving a scan in a specific location  - yes, there is also a list of autosaved scans in C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Scans, from when I started using this laptop. 23.3.1 currently loaded. 19.6 would have been loaded when I did the first scan on this.
