HVO100

Has anyone here run their diesel car on HVO100 fuel?

It's about to become available locally and is supposed to be a straight replacement for conventional diesel

No, I insist 😂

It's just been announced so probably a couple of weeks away from availability.  I'm reasonably confident that it'll work without issue and I'm happy to be the first here to try it.  It's said to have a decent cetane rating, similar to premium diesel and to burn cleaner along with environmental benefits if manufactured sustainably so worth a go I think

Hadn't even heard of it until I read this post and did a Google search.

The internet appears to indicate it's good for your DPF as less soot so less regenerations, and it will help an older diesel pass the MOT emissions test, time will tell.

I won't be trying it until Skoda recommend it as fuel in their engines in case it has a negative effect on something which could cancel a warranty claim, but looking forward to hearing from those who do try it.

edit: will it make your car smell like a fish & chip shop as you drive down the road?
