Removing centre air vent on front passenger side

Featured Replies

I've noticed that the centre air vent for the front passenger no longe opens and closes when I slide the grille from side to side.  I spotted a small piece of plastic inside the housing and managed to fish it out and it is clearly a connector which attaches to the grille and, via a fork to the vent.

Has anyone any experience of removing the grille, please, or is it going to be a massive job where you have to disassemble half the centre dashboard or similar?  Any diagrams would be helpful.

It doesn't look easy. Instructions are in this workshop manual on page 90 (Section 3.4.1)

Thank you, and it certainly doesn't look easy.  Hopefully, the problem may have been the result of work done recently by the garage, so they would have to right it.
