Preparing for Trade-In: Removing Personal Data from Connect / Infotainment System

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been a long time absent from the forum (last logged-in two or maybe three Škoda's ago!!!) - is nice to be back.

I'll be trading-in my current '70 plate Kodiaq SE L, getting a new Kodiaq on 1st September, and I was wondering about removing any personal data that is stored on the car's Infotainment and Connected services.

The car has a primary user setup and I think at one point I created additional user for my wife (although she never used it).

Also, the car connects to a number of smart phones (mine, my wife's and two children's phones).

So, what what should I do in order to make sure that personal data / settings are removed before the trade-in?

Cheers,

Kieran

Easy peasy - go into the car menu on infotainment, scroll down until you see reset to factory settings, confirm the reset and that's everything  wiped.
