Thanks for this great forum and community. Now I'm in a bit of a problem with my 2018 Skoda Octavia Mk3 

I have Amundsen 2.5 radio I think, the one with the touch screen buttons. The radio will not always turn on with the car, when I turn the car on the radio is just blank. I can press the power button and the radio is working just like it would do if the car i turned off, and the radio will shut off in about 30 minutes (Battery mode). The reverse camera is not working when the radio is doing this.

 

But sometimes the radio pops in and everything is working normal, it's just like the radio doesn't noticed that the car is running. Because the radio is in this battery mode I can't use the buttons on the steering wheel to turn the volume up and down.

 

Have some of you guys had similar problem and what was the solution ?

That means the radio isn't seeing the CAN bus message that the ignition is on, so that's where the problem lies.

You should get it scanned for faults, it does feel like there might be a comms issue between the headunit and CAN gateway though
