Amunsden Bluetooth compatibility with phone and Android Auto

Featured Replies

Hi all - just joined and wondered if anyone can help with this one ?

I have a moto G31 phone which now has android 11 with supposedly bluetooth android auto integrated . I have now tried 2 different makes of  AA bluetooth converters  so that I can replace the lead which works perfectly with android auto .

From all the info I have been able to obtain there should not be a compatibility issue . I don't have any probs pairing the units and their brand names show on screen with " android auto" "smartlink " etc. but AA won't load !

Be interested to know what success members have had with their phones working with the various blue tooth converters out there .... and any recommendations ?

Cheers

So you have wired Android Auto but are trying to run it through a Bluetooth adaptor?

If that's the case I suspect there's some kind of coding which would get in the way. When I run AA through the cable it also activates my Bluetooth on my phone. No idea if it connects to Bluetooth in any way.

Likewise, my phone asks when I plug it into the cable if I want to use AA. Again, I'd suspect my phone sends a signal to the head unit to tell it that the phones connected properly.

Perhaps try contacting the manufactures of the AA BT convertors you're using. They might be able to help debug your issue :)
