HELP PC problems

Featured Replies

Have a Compaq Presario desktop in a spare room.

The problem is it has started crashing in some style.

I keep upto date with anti virus stuff so have ruled that out.

"Online Crash Analysis" for what its worth states it is a driver error, but I haven't installed anything for months and this only started a few weeks ago.

I have tried winding it back to a system restore point and it fails.

I am no getting sick of seing "Your computer reset itself from a serious error".

Any ideas what I can do oh please bear in mind I am just a fiddler not a techy when it comes to puters.

Have you started using any online services recently? I've had one or two computers that do this with my online classroom. Installing the latest graphics and/or sound drivers for the system usually cure it.

Are you doing anything specific each time it crashes?

what version of windows are you running? does it do it while you are using it or when its left on all on its own? what programs are running before it crashes?

thinking that something may have broke inside like a graphics card fan. could be causing overheating.

or its a corrupt driver
