Service Code

Featured Replies

I have recently got a service code on my Yeti (2012) display when switching on.  This is code number147 letting me know I have 800 miles left in whatever needs attention. Can anyone let me know what this is.

Welcome.            EDIT.  I will ask a mod to move to the Yeti section.

It will be at least an Oil & Oil filter change and reset the Service Indicator.

Then a Pre Winter Inspection is in order.

Tell us what was done last time, and how many miles your car has done since the last service.

What engine and gear box you have and stuff like that.

68'000 miles had an oil change at 60,000 it's a yeti s TDI cr.

You get 1.6 or 2.0 TDI CR.   Not that it matters really.

Must be on fixed servicing then, 9,400 miles / 372 days.    Oil required is Long Life for fixed or variable service intervals,

so to VW504 00 / 507 00,    5w 30 FS III

?

Do you have Haldex (4x4).  is it a manual gearbox?

It's a manual

Could it be that the garage that did the last service didn't reset. The previous service was done at 49000.

It could be, it could be that they did not know how to if they could not plug in.

Do you want to leave it 18,000-20,000 miles between oil changes or more than a year?

I would not now at 11 years old unless you do high miles in a year.

Have you checked the Air Filter yourself, has the Diesel Filter/ fuel filter been replaced?

Have you looked at the pollen filter, cleaned it out in the area or replaced?

More needs doing than just Oil changes.

Yes I have had that happen. Also had one manually adjust after missing one then the next one reset to that same smaller interval.

I think it’s too old, but does the car use adblue and need a top up?

It's ok I know what it is - it's just a simple service reminder I didn't realise the service interval was 9000 miles.
