Auto Cab Climate

Featured Replies

Having had my 2015 Octavia Scout for a few months now, I've noticed that the Auto setting on the interior climate system doesn't seem to work particularly well and wondering if there could be a problem. On my old Saab 9-3, I just left it on auto and it seemed to control everything perfectly. If it was cold, it would automatically boost the fan to warm the cab up to the set temperature. If the windscreen needed defrosting, it automatically directed hot air to the window demisters. On my Octavia, this doesn't seem to happen so obviously and am finding myself having to use manual controls more readily. I'm having to turn the fan speed up manually and direct the heat flow to where needed manually. All of these controls work perfectly so no issues with the fan but just doesn't seem to manage it automatically particularly well.

Has anyone else experienced this or could I have a fault somewhere?

On a side note, I'm really liking the Skoda but I seem to have gone from a car with the best cup holder in the world (Saab 9-3) to one with the worst (Octavia - Completely useless - What were they thinking?).

Try this first.

Tried this last night then drove the car this morning. Think its made a difference but a bit hard to tell at the moment as the weather is fairly mild. Will report back when its been tested more.

Definitely seems to have improved things. Still don't think it manages it as well as my old car but maybe thats just the way things are. Keep getting emails from Biskoda to remind me to 'Mark as Solution' but can't find the button for this. Any pointers?
