Hi,

I am in the process of rebuilding my 1.4 CAVE engine does anyone know where I can find all the correct torque settings please

Diesel / oil leak in engine bay - safe to drive ?

Hi. I have a leak of diesel or oil from my Octavia 1.6 diesel engine and I am taking it to get steam cleaned etc today before driving down to a garage for them to check the leak . Is it ok for me to continue to drive my car around ? I have been for quite a while with this burning smell, the garage has said it should be fine but I just wanted some other advice. No warning lights come on and the car runs ok . Thank you.

Morning Guys, this is one for any iV owners, I charged the car overnight then went on a short run but even a short run in these minus temperatures hammer the battery I did around 6 miles with heater and seat warmer on and I’d used nearly 30 % of the battery so went to plug in again at home only to find the flap that covers the charge plug would not open, it does move in an out slightly but the catch does not release, don’t think it’s cold weather related as I have had the hairdryer on it for a g

When I got the car back in November I was trading in a 21 Plate Fabia wanting an upgrade in terms of spec and size. I had previously had a 150PS TDI Superb 3 so knew thats what I wanted again. Hi. I know there's a 'considering buying' forum but this is about an oldie so I thought this may be a better place to post...(a query for the long committed fans?)? I already have a 2005 Octavia Estate (1.9TDI PD105) and it is by a country mile the BEST car I have EVER owned. I bought it in 2013 for <£2.5k and apart from needing to do the clutch straight away it hasn't needed much over the 80k miles I've done in it since.
