Hooks on the B pillar

Featured Replies

On the inside of the B piller there is a clothes hook much like that under the hanging handle that rear passengers can use. Do any of you make use of this secondary hook? It seems strange place to put a hook.

I usually hang clothes on a hanger which can then be hung from one of the inner hooks or handles but wondered if you use this second hook for hanging the garment directly.

WHAT? hooks on the B pillar?

i really need to investigate my car more when i get home........

Yes, especially useful if you have a wet jacket then the water runs on to the mat rather than the seat.

Unfortunately they don't appear robust enough to hang a recalcitrant small child upon, when it is smacking its Sister around the mush when you are the lone parent in the car doing 70 down the M27.

........Group buy for stronger hooks, anyone?

I use mine every day for my jacket as with the dog getting hair all over the back seats if I use the one on the grab handle the bottom of my jacket rests on the seat and gets covered.

See, I knew it wasn't such a bad thing to ask. There have been some good ideas from all of this.

If the kids are fighting then you could assemble a clothes line style hanging mechanism across the two hooks and keep one child high up toward the roof and the other just out of arms reach on the seat. Perhaps the netting from the boot could be used for this purpose - you could create a make shift hammock inside the rear of the car.
