Hi, can anyone tell me why the tailgate randomly stops, whether opening or closing? The car is fitted with keyless entry, and the virtual pedal action for the tailgate. I've tried the procedure for setting it and on occasions this works but then goes back to randomly closing. Tia

Does it beep when it stops? This is a result of the overload detection operating (ie the thing that stops it crushing stuff caught in the tailgate gap). Maybe something is too stiff?

Otherwise perhaps it is a wiring issue in the flexible wiring that is inside the corrugated sheathing. Flexing of the wires during opening and closing can eventually case wire to break or chafe against another wire.
