Since a while, I started to hear some whining noise when I drive in a roundabout, especially when turning to the right. I am thinking it might be the wheel ball bearing or the surface of the road in contact with my tires. Does anyone encounter this problem on their car?

I have Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres.

Wheel bearings do fail; not a particular Octavia trait; they can and do fail though.

Get the car up in the air....turn each tyre....if you hear a noisy bearing, then you need to replace it.  Suggest doing it in pairs (i.e. fronts or rears)

 

Failing that; get the wheel alignment looked at.  This might highlight any other issues such as suspension problems.
