Hi all,

 

I need to replace the shock absorbers, strut mountings and bearings on my Octavia 2013. I bought genuine shock absorbers, mounting and bearing from a reliable online store (100% feedback on 44K purchases on eBay). The parts seem to be fine, but only one of the bearings seems to have grease leaking out of the gasket as seen in the photos. The other one does not have this and it is completely dry. Just wondering if this is normal or if it shows the bearing gasket has failed. Any feedback/comment/advice is appreciated. Thanks.
