My car has an ‘upgrade’ that is of little use to me! Would prefer to revert to Bolero multi cd unit. For now , could someone please enlighten me as to identity of pictured wires. Was thinking brown insert block is speaker wires…Many thanks,Stephen

Black block is power/ground/CAN.

 

Brown block is front left/right speakers.

Did you look at the diagram I posted? That shows all the wires on your connector...

 

From your picture, my best guess of wire colours and functions are.

 

Black block:

- Big red/white stripe are both permanent power

- Big brown is ground

- Thin orange/brown stripe is CAN low

- Thin orange/purple stripe is CAN high

 

Brown/beige block:

- Brown/white stripe is front left speaker minus

- Blue/white stripe is front lift speaker plus

- Brown/red stripe is front right speaker minus

- Red is front right speaker plus

I am trying to gain some familiarity with all this before I look at fitting the unit so thank you for explaining things

If you're lucky, the previous owner will have used an adaptor lead so you can just unplug it and use the original quadlock
