Hi all, Just had an email from Skoda UK saying the Cambelt for my Octavia is for life and never needs replacing, what yall think of that statement?? 

Not sure I trust that 100%

Lots of other threads on this subject, here is just one:

 

A cambelt will eventually degrade, but it might be that due to advances in technology they don't need replacing as often on some of these modern engines compared to cars from 20+ years ago.
