Dashboard Ticking Noise

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hope everyone is well.

I am having an issue with my 2023 Skoda Octavia and I was looking for some advice.

The car was purchased in early 2023 and it is a 2023 model. It is a fantastic car however there is a ticking noise coming from the dashboard (steering wheel, virtual dashboard area) that is audible when the car is driving at low speeds and the tempo of the ticking increases when you accelerate. The ticking noise disappears at around plus 40km/hr.

It is a minor inconvenience but for such a great car I would prefer it if wasn’t there atall.

I returned the car to my dealership 4 times over the last 12 months to investigate and fix issue. They recognised that yes there was a noise, on the fourth visit the Skoda factory was consulted, the clutching system was replaced however the ticking noise is continuing to persist. It has been 2 months since the fourth time I returned the car to my dealership and it is disappointing the issue hasn’t been fixed.

Would anyone have encountered a noise similar to this and if so how was the problem rectified?

Thank you in advance!
