Central Locking Constantly clicking on activation

Featured Replies

New to me car that I've had for a month.

Car has been sat for a few days and found the battery flat.

As I walked to the car I could hear the central locking constantly clicking.

Unlocked the car and it continued for 10 ish seconds.

Put car on charge.

Locked the car and same thing with the central locking clicking away.

Unlock the car, guess what same thing.

Leaving it on charge/battery recondition overnight and will check again in the morning.

Where do I start to check issues?

I'm technically minded and worked on cars for years but by no means an expert.

All and any help gratefully received.

So turns out the drivers door handle wasn't quite closing due to sticking, leading to the central locking going crazy as getting an intermittent signal 🙄

Wd40 to the rescue!

Battery now charged fully and door handle freed up and working correctly.

All sorted.

Storm in a tea cup! 😂
