2019 Fuel flap replacement

Featured Replies

SWMBO has snapped off the fuel flap. As a new 1 is £85-£115!!!! Think I may try to repair. Reviewed web, YouTube etc but just can’t see how to remove the flap/filter neck housing. There is, on her 2019 SEL at least, no T20 screw, or any other fixings, the protrusion that may  have hidden a screw is simply a hole behind it.  Any real world ideas please?

At that price I would buy a few different SWMBOs, keep the one which gave the least trouble, the next best as a spare and sell on the the others 🤣

Check out the couple of threads on the subject. there might be more than 2.

As to gluing.  Check out on youtube,  Superglue & Baking Soda.   I use that quite a lot.

You have my empathy.  Mrs Gaz managed to snap the flap off of her Polo.  Luckily it was a clean break so one of the superglues did the trick (but not before Mrs Gaz also dropped the snapped off flap and chipped the hitherto undamaged paint 🙄).
