Rear Brake Calipers

Featured Replies

Hi all

one thing leads to another, just seems to be one thing after another lately 😤

Rear disc shield needed replaced on drivers side, broke free and rubbing on disc.
Got a new one and fitted it today but noticed I need new pads and disc due to corrosion on inside of the disc.

If that wasn’t bad enough the Caliper is solid and won’t wind back, I have the correct tool and been swinging off it but it just won’t back off.
It’s a TRW Caliper but doesn’t have a part number on

been trying to find a replacement ( going to do both sides )

Question does anyone know the part numbers for both rear calipers

Rear Discs are 282mm

thanks

mi heads bashed in 🙄

The 282s on mine are PR code - 1KJ

If yours ar also 1KJ the TRW numbers are;

N/S  rear BHS324  ( 1K0 615 423 )

O/S  rear BHS325  ( 1K0 615 424 )

The little question mark shaped brake pipes for these are

N/S   1K0 611 763    (Febi 172799)

O/S   1K0 611 764    (Febi 172798)

Hi thanks for the reply, glad that’s the parts numbers for calipers cos that’s what I ordered and they do look right, got delivered Tuesday

I ordered the two short metal pipes off eBay ( TRW)

TPS WANTED £38+ Vat each for the small pipes 😳😳

Just waiting on discs and pads to turn up now then I can get on with the job

cheers again 👍
