New to Skoda, old in years.

Featured Replies

Hi all, just a quick hello to everyone and thanks for the ad. I have recently bought my 1st Skoda, an Octavia 1.6 fsi. Low miles for year and fairly basic in trim but I've done all the whistles and bells over the years and now I have retired, I wanted something to keep me from being beaten to a painful death by my wife. So here I am, looking forward to the experience of being a Skoda owner.

After many years a Ford owner, I decided to buy a Skoda Yeti, I had two, then a Fabia Kombi monte carlo and a 1.5 Kamiq, monte carlo dsg,  my first automatic

and now a Fabia SE-L dsg I quite like Skoda. I would like a top range Superb but never seem to run to one. Enjoy your Octavia it is a brilliant car.

Thanks, I intend to. We bought an Astra twin top recently, having sold the Qashqai,  had one a few years ago and thought it would be nice for days out etc in our retirement. Unfortunately, my wife has arthritis and she found it difficult to climb in and out of and she couldn't stretch behind her to reach the seat belt...the joys of getting old. So 4 weeks later, we now have the Octavia.
