Help with payment methods on a Samsung phone

Featured Replies

I found myself intrigued while waiting in line at a store recently. The young person ahead of me effortlessly paid for their purchases by simply holding their phone over the card reader. After a bit of research, I learned that with my Samsung Galaxy phone, I can store payment information in either Samsung Pay or Google Wallet. I'm considering giving it a try, but I'm unsure which option is better. Has anyone had experience using either of these services on their Samsung or Android phones? And do they work smoothly with any NFC card readers?

Using Google wallet on a pixel 6 pro.  Never had any problems in the last 2 years.

You'll need to load a CC into one of those systems and you should consider if you are comfortable with that.
I'm not aware of any security leaks but I'm always uncomfortable at the level of intrusion these companies leverage through their services.

that said I've given in and have a CC in my AppleWallet. And it has save my bacon a couple of times when I've forgotten a real wallet.

Just make sure you've got autopayment turned off etc in any app stores. There should be an additional challenge to any payments.

Same principle as cerdit card/car key pouches, theres defender or Faraday phone pouches available. Not expensive at a quick google.
