Has the SatNav been changed?

We have a 2020 Karoq and if memory serves me right I’ve previously been able to type a destination street name directly into the location line. Obviously unless it’s a common name the address would generally flag up, I okay it and map sets the route.
Now I’m getting a box appear asking for city, then street.  Perhaps I’m just having another grey moment and imagining this, but don’t recall seeing this before.
There was a message appeared a few days ago saying there was an update available but it didn’t say what it was for, I simply said yes go ahead upload it.
