vRS revlimiter

Featured Replies

Quick question is there a revlimiter in Oct vRS II today i have noticed that i can easily get into half and more of the redzone of the revmeter without the electronics closing the throttle. On my older car the car was backing up as soon as i hit the redline. Is the revlimit is further in the rev range?

thanks!

Be warned that the ECU will logg over-revving and this may have warranty implications if it happens frequently.

Chances are that the actual limiter will be right at the top of the red line.

So it should be right at the top and i should not have gone into the red?

I am trying to take it easy but sometimes it is too difficult to resist:) and if you do not constantly watch the revcounter it is quite easy to get into the red with vRS. I will try to calm down:)

I would say that the needle is only an approximate indication of the revs that the engine is doing. More accuratly, you could access the 'hidden' functions in the climate control display, if you really want to know the exact amount!

The red zone is the 'scoring' zone and you should aim to be there for as long and frequently as possible, or is that rugby????
