Octavia mk3 - 13pin tow bar wiring and coding

Hi all,

I have a 2015 Octavia 3 hatchback with an after-market tow bar and 7 pin socket and all is working fine with my trailer.

However, I've now acquired a small caravan and want to upgrade the wiring to a 13 pin socket without paying dealer prices - probably with an after market wiring kit (comments please)

I've seen some threads where people have fitted their own tow bars etc. BUT..... I have these questions if any of you can help:

1) Are there any sockets readily available in the loom to save making separate connections?

2) If no sockets, are there any notes of caution when diy wiring into the loom?

3) What coding needs to be done if any and if so, is this a diy job (if so how do I do that please - I have a OBD reader and phone app - will this do the job)

4) Anything else I need to know please?
