Hi!

My mk2 shows an error code for the lights even trough all the lights are working. 
I have an elm327 wifi obd scanner is there any app that can tell me more exact info about the code so i can find out what is it about?

Check all internal lights aswell, as it also monitors them. 

!it only shows up when the engine is on!

Mine (same year and model as yours) has done this almost from new.  At first it would activate only if, while the wipers were on, I braked.  I checked the lights thoroughly and there was no fault.  Restarting would clear the warning light, until the next time I braked with the wipers on.

 

Then a few years ago it just came on and has stayed on ever since.  Nothing wrong with any of the lights.

 

From what I’ve read it’s a fairly common fault.

 

I’d love to hear if there’s a fix for it.
