What do the electric back support buttons actually do?

Featured Replies

Following endless tweaking of the electric lumbar support buttons (up, down, forward, backward), I still cant figure out what exactly each button does, to add some method to the madness. The manual is no help saying stuff like it ‘changes the angle’…

Can anyone share a diagram or describe what’s actually going on in the seat when you press the different back support buttons?

Don’t understand; you can’t feel where the lumbar support moves to, when pressing the quad button?
The front and rear buttons change the amount of support the lumbar provides.
The top and bottom buttons moves the position of the lumbar support up and down the back of the seat.

Thanks - that would make sense, but I suppose my issue is that what you’ve described is not what it feels like for me. For example the top and bottom buttons sometimes feel like theyre changing the amount of support, and the change of position doesn't feel linear, hence why i was keen to understand what’s actually meant to be going on in there.

You might be getting a front/rear and the top/bottom buttons operating at the same time, so pushing the switch at 2, 4, 8 or 10 o’clock; that would cause the effect you describe.
