Power folding wing mirror advice needed - 2010 1.8 Elegance Estate

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Skoda owners,

I've embarked on a mission that I'm starting to regret 😂

My left power folding mirror suddenly stopped folding, and so after some advice from a mobile mechanic I use I've sought a replacement unit. It's a second hand one, from a 2.0 diesel (according to the dude on ebay) and is a power folding type. It was only £20 cause it's down light was loose and there was a crack in the indicator.

It has the same 16 pin plug as mine.

I'm in the process of stripping them down so that I can reassemble one fully working unit. It's a lot more of a faff than I had bargained for, and I've hit a snag - possibly.

My unit has a mirror servo unit that takes a 7 wire plug - teal coloured 8 hole plug as shown in the first picture. The unit I bought has only 3 wires for the mirror servo as shown in the second picture.

Will it work in my car?
