Cruise Control inactive (intermittent) even though activated via switch?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I experience a strange situation on our 2020 Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI:
Every now and then - approx 1 out of 3 starts - the cruise control is not available.

The indicator icon in the dash is gone, using the switch to turn off and on doesn't do anything, and the infotainment says that cruise control is turned off.

In such a situation, if you turn off the car and turn it on again, cruise control becomes active (at least it worked like that so far).

The car has the simple cruise control (not ACC), and it is activated all the time via the switch on the lever, so I'd rather rule out a faulty hardware switch.

Is this a software bug? Anyone experienced the same?
Any help is appreciated - thanks!

The switch is broken, I had the same problem in a similar model.

Can I somehow narrow down the problem?
Can the switch be diagnosed with vcds?
