Strange clicking noise when I put my blower on hot the clicking doesn't appear to happen on cold. 

I am aware there are several actuators/motors in the vent system but am not sure which one it is. 

The noise feels like it's from behind stereo or behind the dials. 

Would really like some guidance or advice before I delve into opening it up to find the faulty part. 

Is it doable for a basic diy person like me ??

Sounds like one of the temperature flaps (there is more than one) is stuck - you really need a decent code scan (with e.g. VCDS or OBDeleven) to tell you which one.
