It involves some drilling into the shelf. Before I get my hands dirty and start drilling, has anyone installed one? If so can they share any tips? 

Did you fit it yet?

 

The drilling was the easy bit - use the paper template to mark out the holes, pilot hole and then the 7mm hole. 
the fiddly bit was attaching the net to the second clamp and trying to keep the rod under tension, but wasn’t the worst thing I ever did. 
 

I've not fitted it yet, I've been a wuss with the cold weather.

Cheers for the heads-up. Would you say when fitting the clamp, it's good to have an assistant? 

I finally did it! You're right about the second clamp. I had to put one clamp in, then the clips, then the second clamp. It was impossible to do as the instructions stated. Looking at my effort, I wish I'd moved the screwholes towards your placements, as the hook is in the way on mine. But it's done and I can have a cup of tea
