Long coding to set speed limiter as default instead of cruise control?

Featured Replies

With standard cruise control, there is an option to use the set speed as a max limit instead of as a speed to maintain. However, each time you restart the car and engage cruise you need to go into the options to set this behaviour, since "cruise" is default rather than "speed limiter". Is there a long coding where this default can be changed?

I have the same question, have you resolved this yet please?

Apparently, after contacting Skoda technical department, this is not possible, due to type approval.

They will tell you anything regardless of it being actually true.

Was this an answer from Skoda CZ?

No it was...

Having reached out to our Internal Support Team, I can confirm that all vehicle functionality and setting instructions can be found within the vehicle owner’s manual https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models

· Driver Assist systems

· Speed limiter

· Functionality

Kindly note that as part of the vehicle type approval, the vehicle's Driver Assist functions will be returned to normal after an ignition cycle, and you will need to reactivate them each time.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out using the contact information below.

Thank you for contacting Škoda UK

Kind regards

That's not how I read the reply from Skoda - it's only the Driver Assist functions that return to default, and since Speed limiter is shown as a separate item in the list they have made no comment about Speed limiter returning to default - just referred you to the owner's manual...

I’m not sure if the speed limiter is a separate item or not, however it does still return to the default of ACC after turning the ignition off and back on. And they were unable to offer any more details. I was hoping someone on here would know if it’s actually possible.
