Fuses behind glove box

Featured Replies

Can anyone give this 77 year old idiot,  a step by step idiots guide to accessing the fuses behind the glove box?  I've carefully studied the instructions in the drivers hand book, but just can't figure it out.

Thank you

Stewart

Basically at the back of the glove box there's a little plastic hook on an extendable rod, unhook it, prior to pulling the box out. It's best to fully extend it again when clipping it back in. It's a bit fiddly the first time you do it, after that it's a lot easier to do.

I had my glovebox out this afternoon, as I wanted to check the pollen/cabin filter.

The side panel came off without the aid of a screwdriver.  I just got several fingernails under it, using both hands and it just pulled off.

I couldn't see the rod, although I could see the bar it hooks over and the keyhole in the side of the glovebox.  When I got the glovebox out, I found the brake rod rattling around inside.  It was obviously too much trouble for the last person that was in there to refit it. 🙄

Many thanks to everyone who replied.    Yes The pictures were easier to see larger, and they made more sense after seeing Ords Youtube video.

Thank you from Stewart
