Loadsa Codes!!

Featured Replies

Hey all, we've recently bought a 2021 Octavia Estate 1.5 TSI.

The parking sensors have been intermittent so we took it to a garage and they cleared the codes and amazingly it seems to have solved it (so far).

What has struck me as quite odd though is the amount of codes that were listed as having faults. (see attached)

Everything now seems to be working fine in the car. Does anyone think this amount of codes might mean there is some kind of control module issue? Or any thoughts in general into what on earth is going on and why so many things are listed?

Any ideas gratefully appreciated!

Cheers

Unfortunately, there is no analysis for the codes, so we do not know when they occurred and under what conditions. Diagnostics now have the ability to work with the car's modules to read information, such as the time the error occurred, whether it was sporadic or continuous, whether the engine was running at that time, etc.
There are really many codes in your list, which you have to look up one by one on the Internet if you want to have a picture of what happened to the car.
After clearing the codes, was the error check done again?

In these modern cars with many computer modules and sh** load of electronics, just a slight drop in voltage can cause communication issues between modules and sensors. So having many errors stored in computer is quite common.

You may have gleaned from this forum that the earlier build Mk4s had more than a few software issues along with some hardware ones too. My 2020 car is a prime example - after initially feeling like a Beta Test vehicle all has been sorted - to the point where I can barely remember the frustrations of old. It's now about to tick over 55,000 miles and is a joy to drive (just back from a 300 mile run from North Wales).

You ask for ideas - I suggest you get it to a local dealer or good VAG independent and get all of the modules and Infotainment System updates that are applicable to your particular car. Updates cover all sorts - from SOS module to parking sensors to ACC.

Thanks all! Definitely feel a bit more relieved about it all now! Really appreciate everyone's responses.
