Car alarm going off

Featured Replies

The car alarm on my new Kodiaq keeps going off for no reason. Anyone else have this problem?

Another issue to add to the list.

Hi,

I have the same problem on my Superb. I replaced the main car battery but it’s actually worse now. I have bought a replacement siren and will let you know if this sorts it out when I fit it.
if it still goes off then I will be focusing on the bonnet release catches. I have the interior monitoring switched off so it’s not the sensors there

Is it the new Superb? The Kodaiq monitors movement inside the car, I can disable it but have to do it every time manually, I forget most of the time.

It is a mk3 but the same issue appears in multiple posts about the entire Skoda range. I’m not sure where your interior monitoring on/off switch is. Mine is on the B pillar but you shouldn’t have to deactivate it every time

A control appears on the screen each time I turn off the ignition

What year is your Kodiaq? You mentioned that it was new. Is that new to you or new off the shelf?

Mid-2024, PHEV model

Surely there is some kind of warranty on it? Or at least a situation where the dealer would look at it free gratis?

In the meantime I’ll speak to a guy I know about the issue and see if he has come across it

Its going into the garage for other issues to do with the ACC in a couple of weeks

Try this:

I believe pressing the fob lock button twice in quick succession (or the door handle if you have kessy) will cause the interior sensors to turn off. I think the red led changes its flash frequency as well (less frequent). If you disable in infotainment it only goes off for that occasion.

Thanks, do you need to do it each time?

I’m not sure but the information suggests that you don’t. Try and then go into the infotainment after a few times where you lock and unlock it and see if the interior monitoring has activated again. If it has it’s just a matter of pressing twice each time
