Alignment

Featured Replies

Had my mot at skoda yesterday and on the health check thing they picked up that both front tyres have uneven wear.

2mm on inside edge and 5mm on outside.

Have been told that it will need 4 wheel alignment but also that the adas system has to be recalibrated at the same time.

They can't do it at my local skoda and would have to send it up the road to vw but couldn't give me a price at the time.

I've since contacted 2 other places that do it and it's coming in around £280.

So my question is first of all does the adas system really need to be done at the same time? It was only recalibrated last year when the front window was smashed by debris flying up off the road.

Also I read somewhere that after suspension work it should also be recalibrated.  Car had front suspension mount and spring  replaced within the last 6 months by skoda under warranty so shoukd it also not have been done then?

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Unlikely to require ADAS calibration if only having a wheel alignment done.

SWMBOs Fabia recently had both front lower suspension arms replaced (MOT - failing bushes) and subsequent wheel alignment - with no affect on ADAS.
