Kodiaq - Smashed wing mirror (nearside)

Featured Replies

I recently mananzged to smash the glass on my nearside wing mirror, annoying but not disastrous. Then I contacted my Skoda dealer to discover that a replacement glass costs £364! I asked if they were charging for a replacement mirror assembly but was assured that was the price for the glass alone but there was no charge for installation as it was a five minute job.

I ordered a replacement from a wing mirror supplier (£15)but was disappointed to find that it wasn't exactly the same. I've ended up buying a stick on glass for £7, fingers crossed it will pass MOT.

Anybody had similar experience?
