Servicing Clock Transport Mode

Featured Replies

Good Evening All,

New to the forum

Just collected a new Octavia VRS registered two weeks ago 25 REG. Bought the model from the showroom unregistered.

I have a query regarding the servicing 12months/10,000miles:

The service schedule in the infotainment is saying it is due in in 290 days alot sooner than it should be.

Shouldn't the car have been in transport mode in the showroom before then being registered (its not been registered 2 weeks yet)?

Just hoping for advice where I stand really, as it will eventually put the service/mot out of sync I rarely do over 5,000 miles a year.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums - and your new VRS. Hope you enjoy it.

I reckon the service timing should be set at the PDI which should occur just before deliver and registration. The first MOT should be on [third] anniversary of registration date.

Worth a chat with the dealer and get them to reset the service and inspection interval in the car. AIUI, should only take a few minutes.

Thanks SteveTheElder have chased it up and there going to take a look this week.

Thanks

If you want it on Fixed Service regime which makes sense with such a low annual mires it should have gone on 9,400 miles / 372 days for Hand over.

They took it off Transit mode and changed it from the Variable / Flexible service of 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles so easily could have had the Tech change it again before hand over.
