Software Quirks

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Just collected a new 2025 Superb this weekend, and have to say overall the car is excellent. However, there are a few minor software quirks I wondered if anyone else had come across?

  1. When I’m using Apple CarPlay, if I adjust any of the smart dials, the infotainment screen goes black. This stays until the overlay disappears and then CarPlay eventually returns.

  2. The navigation map in the digital driver display never loads. I just get a spinning green circle which stays for the whole duration of the car being on.

From a bit of cursory googling and research on this forum, I think I have an out of date software version - 2460 on my car. Has anyone else had these issues and managed to resolve them?

This is surely the Stealer's job?

  1. Indeed, you have an outdated version of the infotainment system software, I have the same one. Was your car manufactured in 2024?

I think so. 2025 registration but the steering wheel has the Škoda badge, rather than the writing (if that makes sense).

Called the dealer yesterday and they seem to think that there is no update which would fix these.

That means your car was manufactured before September 2024. At the moment, the dealership doesn’t perform infotainment updates. In the newer versions, the black screen issue has been resolved.

Is there a way for me to resolve this issue then, or am I stuck with it as a pre-September manufacture?

I’m in the same situation. I asked the dealer and got the same answer, that there’s no update available for my car, even though several newer versions have already been released.

I am hoping for lots of bug fixes if/when this software update arrives. I think it is pretty poor from Skoda for us to be waiting this long tbh. (MY24 here)
