Windshield glass VLT

Featured Replies

Anybody knows (or did you measured) what is factory default VLT ( light transmission ) of windows glass on Karoq?

I have 2019 Style edition and it has blueish-greenish tint. I don't find anywhere how much % of shade they have?

I would like to add some IR heat blocking foil on them, but I fear that front three windows are already almost 70%.

Up to 30% opacity (i.e. 70% light transmission) is normal for glass. Some, but not all, windscreen replacement companies may have a light transmission meter if you want exact figures. But it may not be worth the effort of finding one, as any added film will very likely take them below the legal limit.

Probably, yes. 😥

It is pitty, that Skoda installs tinted glass on their cars. It doesn't add anything beneficial.

Our summers are hotter every year. Last year it was furnace 32-38° C almost 3 mounths.

It would be nice to have possibility to add foil with some total solar energy rejection shade on car windows, especialy windshield.
