Hi

I have a 2011 Octavia 1.6 TDI and I've had mixed opinions on when I should next have the cam belt changed.

It was last changed at 81800 miles in 09/20 (The water pump & auxiliary belt were also changed)

The car is currently on 152,500

If anyone can offer any advice on the above it would be appreciated.

1st ask admin to move to Octavia section

2nd I would change it , it’s your car an done 70k in 5 years and as most belts have a 100k 10year interval I would do for pice of mind if cheap and easy

Cost of doing the belt is a lot less than a new engine
