Missing Tools

Featured Replies

I have just noticed that I am missing a spanner and screwdriver from my 1.2 comfort model ( I have had the car since last May). I bought my car used from a main dealer, should I have them in my car or do higer models just have them.

These prices may have changed but the OEM spanner used to cost £7.26 and the screwdriver £4.62! I wouldn't dream of buying replacements at those prices. :(

Should the dealer have replaced them when selling the car.

Normally.. I should of thought so!

i didnt think they came with the car , i know my VRS didnt anyway , got a screw driver out of a Galaxy only to find it didnt fit in the skoda spare wheel holder thingy , doh .

Didnt think they still supplied tools with cars?

My 2001 Fabia Elegance came with a screwdriver and a spanner

I got all the tools with mine, but for some bizarre reason I got the jack for the Felicia. Given that the Fabia weighs a good 200kg more, I haven't used it:cool:

My old Fabia Comfort came with a screwdriver and spanner, but my 2yo Fabia Elegance doesn't have 'em. Just thought it was something that Skoda had stopped doing to save money? Should I complain?

IMHO it's not worth complaining about, it will cost you more in fuel/time etc then to just drop past a DIY place and purchase a better quality item there.

Don't worry about missing/incorrect tools, my car came with a spare wheel from a VX Astra!
