Remove trim around mirror adjuster

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to replace the trim around the mirror adjuster. Got the part number: 5E1867185A 9B9

Now i was just wondering, does it just pop of with a plastic trim removal tool?

Good luck. It just pulls out, but getting it back in was impossible. I took a nice chunk out of the door card.

Yeah, funny you should say that.

I had an accident today where i had to pop it back after it flew off. And yes, impossible to get back and it destroyed the door card as you Said.

Insurance case…. Pray for me.

So for everyone, DO NOT attempt to remove and replace.

I can only assume they are installed before that section of the door is plastiwelded onto the card.

Mine has a nice chunk on the bottom corner. I used some leather effect vinyl from eBay to cover it up for now. I'll either get it trimmed in alcantara, or replace the card. Skoda want £900, and I haven't been able to find a 3.5 card with the lighting that isn't knackered. I left my windows open in the rain so needed to remove the switches to replace them. For some reason I decided to pull the surround out too, which was a mistake.

Future problem.
