PHEV Petrol Engine Only Mode?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I drive between cities a lot. Is there a way to force the new 2025 Superb PHEV to run on petrol engine only when on motorway in between cities? It would be good to save battery for city driving. In Hybrid mode it still uses battery for much of the time on motorway leaving little or nothing left in battery when I arrive at second city. Really annoying & I don’t see any obvious way to change this.

Thanks.

Under the battery icon you can choose to save the charging . Look at the picture .

You set the B switch to hybrid, the G to manual and press the = at the level of charging you want to keep.. So if the battery level is 80 % when pressing the = it will keep the level around 80%.

When you reach the city you press battery and set the B switch to battery.

Thank you RobbanH. That is what I was looking for :)

Just be aware that you have to set it up again each time you turn off the system. So after coffe brake, before continuing your trip - set it up again

Thank you ufwojcie. I might just draft my very own little preflight checklist to manage the many options resetting to default at journeys end 🤔 🤓

Yeah, maybe one should have always copilot on board...

This is so true- there are many settings, especially with the extra complexity of a PHEV, and a checklist would come in very handy.
