Mk3 Superb dome lights don't work

Featured Replies

Well... all the dome lights don't work. Neither does the reverse/wing mirror dip or vanity and boot lights. There are no fuses for these. The main dealer did a diagnostic check. Fault J519 popped up. They replaced the part, but they still don't work. They think it's a strip out and find a wiring fault. Has anyone else had this issue? The dealer said it could amount to 10 hours trying to find the problem. So £1k+. Also, the ac doesn't work. Diagnostics say it's the compressor, but it isn't. Which apparently suggests a short somewhere?? Is it connected? ( the ac is recent, the lights have been an issue for a while).

What are the specifics of the car - trim, engine, year.

Has anyone checked the battery? Lots of electrical gremlins start when the battery is on its way out.

2016 L & K. 4 x 4. I've had it checked by Skoda, who seem to think it maybe a case of strip out and check the wiring. I wondered if anyone else had had this problem. Water ingress maybe??
