Cross bars - loose screws

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Firstly, thanks for all the topics on this forum - I've found it really useful as a new owner. The Enyaq is fantastic (I won't say Superb here....) and driving electric is a massive improvement over my manual diesel.

I have an Enyaq (estate) and the genuine Skoda cross bars, but I bought them used. The screws indicated in the picture are loose (and some looser than others).

Is that normal? Or should I tighten them to a particular torque? I can't find anything in the fitting guide about them which makes me think they should be tight and not adjusted by the user.

Thanks in advance.

Just set up Thule bars on mine and they came with a tool preset to 4nm, I’d guess that would be in the ball park
