Skoda Superb 3 2.0 TDI 2019 - Replacing pressure sensor glow plug

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,
I’m about to replace the glow plugs on my Superb 3, and while going through the workshop manual I noticed something funny.

The glow plug replacement procedure is on page 666. Quite a coincidence. )

I’m also not entirely sure whether anything needs to be done in VCDS after replacing a glow plug with a pressure sensor. The workshop manual doesn’t mention any adaptation steps, but I found this video showing a procedure that looks relevant, so now I’m wondering if something similar is required. https://youtu.be/FfoM8iav5kc?si=FMd1-SXQm0RrWRqW

I also spotted some strange cartoon images in the manual. Does anyone know what they’re supposed to represent?

Thanks, and wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season. 🎄

I recently replaced my number 3 glow plug that has the pressure sensor. I changed it due to a fault code and EML warning. It was a straight forward job. Just soaked the plug the day before with a good quality penetrating oil. Using a deep socket I gently removed the glow plug and replaced it. Cleared the fault code and job done.
