Can someone clify what exactl a service involves

Is it just the oil filter and oil change ? What else do they charge 200 pounds for?

Also why is a service needed periodically regardless of the miles you ve driven.

If you drove 1k miles the whoel year why get it serviced?

The car needs to be serviced every 10k or annually whichever comes soonest. If you do 20k a year, you can defer the "annual inspection" until the 20k service and just have a lube (oil and filter) service at 10k. If not, the annual inspection is bundled in with the oil and filter service at 10k (hence the

Infact in general mechanical terms cars with extremely low mileage are usually in poorer condition than higher mileage cars. Cars liked to be used. I had a genuine 11,000 mile Felicia (was 10 years old) and it had had about four exhaust, three sets of tyres and on its second set of dampers due to corrosion, just sitting there does em no good at all.
